Steve McGraw Takes Third!!

Steve McGraw Wins third at  National Apprentice of the Year!

Each year, hundreds of electrical apprentices enrolled in the IEC apprenticeship training programs across the country put their skills to the test by completing challenges in several categories. The top competitor from each chapter across the nation will go on to compete in the IEC National Competition at the IEC National Convention. This year, the convention was held October 27-30 Virtually.

The Apprentice of the Year Competition was two full days of electrical challenges. This year twenty apprentices who competed as they represented their chapters. These competitors were some of the top in their class, winners of their local competitions, and are now competing at the national level. The competition consists of basic motor control circuits, line diagrams, materials, and circuit installation, and more.

The third place winner of the National 2020 Apprentice of the Year is Steve McGraw from the Greater St. Louis area. Steve has wanted to compete in this event since joining the apprenticeship program as a first-year apprentice. He earned every minute of his victory at Nationals.
